📽 My favourite films of the last decade

Following on from my favourite albums of the last decade I thought I’d take a swing at narrowing down some of my favourite films of the same period too.

Much in the same way that music reminded me of certain times of the past decade these films did the same.

• The Master (2012)
• Looper (2012)
• Boyhood (2014)
• Interstellar (2014)
• Whiplash (2014)
• Inside Out (2015)
• Arrival (2016)
• Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
• Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame (2018/2019)

A couple of trends I noticed; firstly, there's a strong learning towards sci-fi films. Secondly, Rian Johnson get's two films on the list with Looper and The Last Jedi. Thirdly, Amy Adams still hasn't won an Oscar despite fantastic performances in The Master and Arrival among others.
